Since the New year, the Minister K. Cholponbayev continues his inspection of the health facilities located in the capital. First he visited the I. Ahunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA). Since the last year this institution has been building a conference hall and lecture halls. Also, they established a museum of Isa Ahunbayev. The Minister noted that it is necessary to create a history of health care in Kyrgyzstan. After all, every student studying at KSMA should know the history and continue this path with dignity.
Cholponbayev also visited the National Center of Cardiology and Therapy. In this Centre the doctors showed the renovated premises and new major equipment, angiography and tomography among them. The results are visible, when most patients start to apply to the Center, rather than to private clinics. Moreover, the difference in price compared to private clinics is significant. For example, coronography and angina devices are already running a 3D computer system.
At a meeting with the heads of the departments of the center, the Minister noted improvements, although insufficient. "We need to create conditions not only for patients, but also for young doctors. The national centers should provide assistance in the latest global medicine trends, so that both citizens and residents of the regions can receive quality medical care in the public medical institutions rather than in private centers."
