Kyrgyz Republic joined the “I travel without COVID-19” digital initiative in test mode

The Kyrgyz Republic has joined the “I travel without COVID-19” digital initiative. Currently, two accredited state laboratories of the Kyrgyz Republic have connected to the platform in test mode (Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in Bishkek city and Center for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in Osh city). To obtain results of COVID-19 PCR-tests, a user downloads the “I travel without COVID-19” app from AppStore or GooglePlay. The app shows the user the nearest laboratories where testing for COVID-19 is possible.

When visiting the laboratory, the user will need to state his intention to obtain the test result via the app. In this case, the user will receive a consent form for processing personal data and obtaining the results via the mobile app. The form will show a QR code that the user needs to scan in the mobile app. Later, when the test result is ready, the user will get the result as a QR code.

At present, for the convenience of citizens, preparatory work is being undertaken to connect private laboratories to the “I travel without COVID-19” platform.

The digital solution is aimed at reducing the risk of COVID-19 spread during cross-border trips of citizens traveling within the Eurasian Economic Union. “I travel without COVID-19” reduces the risk of spread and ensures reliable control at the intergovernmental level.

Currently, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation are connected to the information system.
