China provided a further batch of humanitarian assistance valued at KGS 63 million

On April 1st, 2021, a delivery ceremony took place in the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the KR for an additional batch of humanitarian assistance to fight COVID-19 from the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Development of the KR, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Du Dewen.

Provided humanitarian assistance includes disposable medical protective clothing, disposable sterile surgical rubber gloves, surgical masks, protective facial medical masks, medical goggles, disposable shoe covers, disposable medical gowns, disposable medical caps, non-invasive ALV machines, a real-time PCR system, and a system for extracting nucleic acid – with a total value of over KGS 63 million.

In his speech, Minister A. Beishenaliev stressed the important contribution of the PRC Government to Kyrgyzstan’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic and thanked it for supporting a high level of Kyrgyz-Chinese strategic partnership and showing commitment to the goal of eliminating coronavirus infection: “On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the KR and from me personally, I would like to thank the Government of the PRC and the Embassy of the PRC in the Kyrgyz Republic for the help provided, and I look forward to the further development of cordial relations between our countries.”
