As of the early hours of May 2nd, 2021, the total number of victims comprises 178, including 34 people who died.
The Minister of Health and Social Development of the KR, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, noted that humanitarian assistance, containing food products, clothing and medicines, arrived in Leylek district.
As is known, at 20:00 h on May 1st, Tajikistan released and returned 10 hostages to Kyrgyzstan. The Minister personally conducted a medical examination of the released hostages. Five of them were hospitalized. He also personally participates in the surgeries performed on the injured.
One medical worker was injured during the events – Burkanali uulu Ashirali, feldsher of Batken Oblast FMC, who was hospitalized on April 29th with a closed craniocerebral injury and concussion.
