10,000 Steps to Healthy Longevity

The most important factor on the path to health and longevity is to increase the level of physical activity.

·         The easiest and safest form of physical activity is to walk for 30 to 40 minutes every day at a rapid pace - as fast as possible, but without shortness of breath.

·         If you are used to walking one bus stop distance on your way to work, increase your walking distance to two bus stops.

·         You can stop using elevators and walk (at least one floor) at lunchtime, don't use a car if possible, and walk more in your free time.

·         Absolutely everyone can walk regardless of gender, age, or state of health.

·         The second recommended way to increase physical activity is to walk 10,000 steps every day.

·         Everyone takes a certain number of steps without noticing it. Everyone walks around the house, on the way to and from work, and in the course of daily activities.

·         Even a person with a sedentary lifestyle walks about 2-3 thousand steps.

·         With average activity the number increases to 5,000-7,000.

·         And active people walk at least 10-12 thousand steps.
