Recovered patients

 

In the past twenty-four hours, 216 patients with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis (based on laboratory and clinico-epidemiological data) recovered and were discharged from care across the republic: in Bishkek city 160 patients, Osh city – 0, Chuy province – 12, Osh province – 3, Talas province – 11, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 14, Jalal-Abad province – 13, Batken province – 3.

 

Total number of recoveries during the entire period – 193,601 patients.

New cases

 

As at 17 February 2022, 39 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered in the country within the past twenty-four hours: Bishkek city – 19, Osh city – 0, Chuy province – 7, Osh province – 1, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 7, Jalal-Abad province – 2, Batken province – 3.

 

In total, 200,214 cases were registered during the entire period, including 139,706 laboratory-confirmed cases and 60,508 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

The incidence rate (effective reproductive number) – Rt – is 0.5.

Number of PCR tests carried out in the past twenty-four hours – 2,445.

 

Receiving treatment

 

Currently, 353 patients across the republic are receiving inpatient treatment, while 1,754 people are in outpatient care.

 

The number of cases in inpatient facilities is as follows: Bishkek city – 182, Osh city – 20, Chuy province – 97, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 3, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 27, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 19. Out of the 353 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 2 people (0.5%) is categorized as satisfactory, 165 patients (46.7%) are in moderately severe condition, 143 (40.5%) in severe and 43 (12.1%) in critical condition.

 

The number of patients with laboratory- and clinico-epidemiologically-confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment is as follows: Bishkek city – 805, Osh city – 150, Chuy province – 217, Osh province – 72, Talas province – 111, Naryn province – 45, Issyk-Kul province – 181, Jalal-Abad province – 104, Batken province – 69.

 

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data were registered in the past twenty-four hours – in Bishkek (unvaccinated). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 2,937 cases, including 1,235 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,702 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

 

Two (2) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 1 in Bishkek city, 1 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 7,739. In the past twenty-four hours, 1 medical worker was discharged from inpatient care and 12 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 7,399 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
