Recovered patients

 

In the past twenty-four hours, 191 patients with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis (based on laboratory and clinico-epidemiological data) recovered and were discharged from care across the republic: in Bishkek city 130 patients, Osh city – 5, Chuy province – 20, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 1, Naryn province – 2, Issyk-Kul province – 15, Jalal-Abad province – 11, Batken province – 7.

 

Total number of recoveries during the entire period – 193,792 patients.

New cases

 

As at 18 February 2022, 41 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered in the country within the past twenty-four hours: Bishkek city – 20, Osh city – 0, Chuy province – 14, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 1, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 0.

 

In total, 200,255 cases were registered during the entire period, including 139,727 laboratory-confirmed cases and 60,528 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

The incidence rate (effective reproductive number) – Rt – is 0.5.

Number of PCR tests carried out in the past twenty-four hours – 2,249.

 

Receiving treatment

 

Currently, 333 patients across the republic are receiving inpatient treatment, while 1,622 people are in outpatient care.

 

The number of cases in inpatient facilities is as follows: Bishkek city – 160, Osh city – 18, Chuy province – 98, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 3, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 22, Jalal-Abad province – 8, Batken province – 19. Out of the 333 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 3 people (0.9%) is categorized as satisfactory, 147 patients (44.1%) are in moderately severe condition, 139 (41.7%) in severe and 44 (13.2%) – in critical condition.

 

The number of patients with laboratory- and clinico-epidemiologically-confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment is as follows: Bishkek city – 716, Osh city – 147, Chuy province – 209, Osh province – 72, Talas province – 111, Naryn province – 43, Issyk-Kul province – 176, Jalal-Abad province – 86, Batken province – 62.

 

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case – in Bishkek – due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 and 1 case – in Chuy province – due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (unvaccinated). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 2,939 cases, including 1,236 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,703 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

 

No new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 7,739. In the past twenty-four hours, 4 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 7 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 7,410 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
