Statistical data on COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan for February 21

Recovered patients

 

In the past twenty-four hours, 119 patients with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis (based on laboratory and clinico-epidemiological data) recovered and were discharged from care across the republic: in Bishkek city 65 patients, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 15, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 3, Issyk-Kul province – 11, Jalal-Abad province – 7, Batken province – 9.

 

Total number of recoveries during the entire period – 194,218 patients.

New cases

 

As at 21 February 2022, 15 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered in the country within the past twenty-four hours: Bishkek city – 10, Osh city – 5, Chuy province – 0, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 0, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

 

In total, 200,337 cases were registered during the entire period, including 139,759 laboratory-confirmed cases and 60,578 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

The incidence rate (effective reproductive number) – Rt – is 0.5.

Number of PCR tests carried out in the past twenty-four hours – 2,144.

 

Receiving treatment

 

Currently, 235 patients across the republic are receiving inpatient treatment, while 1,366 people are in outpatient care.

 

The number of cases in inpatient facilities is as follows: Bishkek city – 101, Osh city – 16, Chuy province – 80, Osh province – 6, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 13, Jalal-Abad province – 8, Batken province – 9. Out of the 235 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 99 people (42.1%) is categorized as moderately severe, 108 patients (45.9%) are in severe condition and 28 (11.9%) in critical condition.

 

The number of patients with laboratory- and clinico-epidemiologically-confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment is as follows: Bishkek city – 553, Osh city – 147, Chuy province – 180, Osh province – 67, Talas province – 99, Naryn province – 35, Issyk-Kul province – 151, Jalal-Abad province – 77, Batken province – 57.

 

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours – in Bishkek (unvaccinated). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 2,946 cases, including 1,242 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,704 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

 

One (1) new COVID-19 case was registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours – in Bishkek. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 7,742. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 8 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 7,440 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
